"Dream Walker"
By placing images of traditional cultures in a contemporary landscape, Steve Kergin is attempting to move beyond the idea of simply reflecting a past that cannot be regained.
This illustration represents Steve's efforts to help reconcile the differences between our historic and contemporary cultures through an understanding of those common experiences that create bonds between all people throughout history.
The Ghost Mask represented in "Dream Walker" symbolizes the spirit of all the people who have inhabited this land we call North America as well as those who have yet to arrive.
