How I Price

How I price my web design projects

I can create the perfect website for you to meet your requirements. Have a look at my Design Portfolio to see some of the projects I've worked on.

Each project has its own needs and complexities. Pricing is dependent upon how complex the site is to build, how much finished material is provided by you and similar factors.

Websites are priced below what you would pay most design houses, but I am not an amateurs. I have invested in the necessary professional software and hardware as well as in educating myself in the best elements of effective design and current layout techniques.

Simple Sites

I can create a simple website for you quickly and reasonably. If you just want a "web presence" while you develop your ideas or your company then a single page with your logo, a few paragraphs of information and your contact information may be enough.

For most people, a site with about 5 pages adds some flexibility and gives you more room to work with.

The more you can provide in a workable format and the more I have to work with, the easier it is to create a your site at a reasonable price.

More Complex Sites

I prefer to quote for more complex projects since pricing is based upon several factors. These factors can also add to the cost of the base rate:

The more you can tell me about your requirements, budget and available resources, the easier it is to provide an accurate quote.

Individual changes or additions to your site can be added after the quote. In most cases additions to the original quote will be on an hourly-rate basis.

Each Site Unique

Each design job is unique, both in its requirements and complexities. Contact me for a quote.

I can build you a website that meets your needs. The following can help me to determine what factors are critical to the project:

Based upon the information you provide, I will establish a price to create an original design based on your specifications.

Since I don't use cookie-cutter templates, most of the work (and cost) of a site is in the initial design. Keep this in mind as you set out your requirements. It is easier to change something early in the design process than when the site is nearer to completion.

Not Sure What You Want?

If you're not sure how to describe what you want, you can start by making a list of the things that you want your site to accomplish, based upon the list of items in the section above.

Next, you'll want to have an idea of how you want the site to look. Try some of these suggestions to get the design you're looking for clearer in your mind. Consider other sites have you have visited that you like? It may be a single element, or a concept that appeals to you:

You'll also want to have a look at your competition's sites. Your customers or clients will be checking them out. We'll want to ensure that your company's strengths are advertised and address any weaknesses during the design process.
