Theses projects are some of the many sites designed, revised and maintained by Russ. There is a variety of techniques used in their design. The common element is the speed of loading, even for viewers on slower services and adapability to changing technology, while retaining an attractive appearance and easy site navigation.

The Cloth Castle - Your One-Stop Sewing Shop
This project involved developing a flexible site that would accommodate rapidly changing content.
Psipsina — Charter Catamaran Diving in the South Caribbean showcases the advantages of tropical diving on a catamaran in the South Caribbean and to market it to Canadian divers.
To change from a high-end charter yacht to a tropical day-charter service focussed on serving divers, we purchased a domain that would help it be found primarily within Canada. The site colours were chosen to complement the tropical setting for this service.
Paul Mac Agencies providing select souvenirs to retailers and resorts in British Columbia.
The client wanted a reference site to cut down on his travel requirements yet maintain service levels. Secured Adobe® Acrobat® PDF documents provide clients with easier updates to catalogue listings and downloadable price lists.
Writers & Artists
Sheryl McFarlane - Children’s Author provides information about the author’s books to readers, teachers, parents, librarians and the media.
Fun graphics, rollover sounds and casual fonts encourage viewers to explore the site. Three external blogs modified to resemble the main site allowed Sheryl to do her own updates.
Gil Parker - Professional Writer showcases both the author’s books and his writing specialties, including writing and photography samples with his resumé.
Designed to be elegant, yet simple to maintain, this design profiles the author and provides a showcase for his books as well as his abilities.
SK Graphics featuring the original West Coast artwork of Steve Kergin and Lee (Lowther) Kergin.
Russ, using the art direction and design provided by Steve Kergin of SK Graphics, created an easily-navigable site that is attractive to view.
Michelle’s Creative Homemade Crafts showcases a variety of craft techniques and mediums.
Because Craftgal customizes every order, regular listing of products seemed incomplete. Order forms for customization and special requests were added to allow for the special nature of her creativity and crafts.
Non-Profit Organizations
Canadian Authors Association, founded in 1921, is Canada’s oldest writing organization. This site is recognized nationally and internationally for its extensive writing-related content.
This project included easing navigation for a very large site with a variety of resources, including password-protected content for members. It also needed to be simple enough to be cloned for the CAA’s branches where Web-experienced volunteers are often not available.
The Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society was designed to both promote the productions to the public and to keep members and others informed about auditions and rehearsals.
The site incorporates a separately-maintained blog and other tools to keep down the cost of maintaining the site.
Victoria Full Gospel Fellowship provides information about this church, featuring a Weekly Calendar.
Photographs and drop shadows are used to make the site appearance more dynamic and to invite engagement with the content.
Jonats 4 Africa - Missionaries to Malawi was built to support the Jonats as they raised funds to return to Africa (this time to Malawi) and to provide a platform for news and updates once they were there.
This project required access to viewers in both Canada and in Malawi to access dynamic and appealing content in English with a translation to French provided with Babel Fish.
