Writers & Artists
Sheryl McFarlane — Children's Author provides information about the author's books to readers, teachers, parents, librarians and the media. Fun graphics, rollover sounds and casual fonts encourage young viewers to explore the site.
Robert W Mackay's historical novel, Soldier of the Horse pivots on the great military history and traditions of the Canadian Cavalry, while showing the human element, dedication and vulnerability of those who served in World War One.
The Original Artwork of Steve Kergin and Lee (Lowther) Kergin. Art direction and design provided by Steve Kergin. An easily-navigable site that is attractive to view.
Michelle's Creative Homemade Crafts showcases a variety of craft techniques and mediums. Because of the special nature of Craftgal's creativity, every project is unique and order forms incorporated customization and special requests.
Commercial
Curaçao Water Sports provides services to people looking to enjoy the sun and beautiful tropical water in an island community steeped in a rich European heritage. Located in a hurricane-safe zone, Curaçao is safe.
Paul Mac Agencies providing select souvenirs to retailers and resorts in British Columbia. A site rebuild accommodated changing needs with a simpler layout using referral to external sites for information about the products and companies represented.
Non-Profit Organizations
Canadian Authors Association, founded in 1921, is Canada's oldest writing organization. A series of CAA branch sites were built to a similar style while allowing for customization.
The Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society was designed to both promote the productions to the public and to keep members and others informed about auditions and rehearsals. A separately-maintained blog and other tools keep down the cost of updating the site.
Victoria Full Gospel Fellowship provides most information in a easy-to-scan format with a synapsis of most pertinent details on the first page on the site. 3D effects provide for visual contrast without interfering with readability. Content is dynamically updated and invites user engagement.
Jonats 4 Africa — Missionaries to Malawi provides a communications outreach for the Jonats and to raise funds to support their work in Malawi, Africa. French translation (spoken widely in Malawi) is provided by Babel Fish.
