Jacob Beaton is the founder and operator of Copper Moon Multimedia, a new-media company that focuses on serving the Greater Victoria community. In his work Jacob brings knowledge and ideas stemming from his 10 years of experience in the computer and creative design fields. Jacob's unique perspective in multimedia and life comes from his cross-cultural background and experiences traveling at home and abroad. Jacob began his journey in professional video production at the "Media That Matters" conference in the spring of 2002 at Hollyhock on Cortez Island. This conference brought Jacob in touch with many movers and shakers in the North American media industry who inspired him and helped him aim high. Jacob is currently pursuing his long-standing interest in film and will be screening his first commercial production at the Victoria Aboriginal Film Festival in November. |
"This video was produced in the hope that our people will learn from these stories. It is also a hope that other Bands and First Nations Organizations will be encouraged to do similar productions. Our people are dying from this disease. We need to break the silence." Mr. John Aitken, Executive Producer
