Blackberry Festival - This family oriented
event usually takes place in late September or early October. It involves many members
of the congregation in picking blackberries for weeks in advance, and has been a
wonderful time of fellowship for over 19 years. The items for sale include
delicious, homemade blackberry pies and preserves. Refreshments and baked goods
are served in the tea room throughout the day.
Summer Events - Picnics, potlucks, hikes and
camping are all activities which are enjoyed by the congregation during the summer
months. The senior youth group usually take an out-of-the-province trip to a
Christian music festival and/or participate in various outreach missions.
Zak's Café - Café style popular entertainment.
Everyone is welcome.
Performing Arts - There are a few groups that
perform at St. Mary's on a regular basis. The Sooke choir is one of them and everyone
is welcome at these events.
