Sir Andrew Macphail Foundation The Macphail Homestead was the home of one of PEI's most famous writers, physicians, and scholars, Sir Andrew Macphail. In 1844, his parents came to PEI, then bought the 100 acre Fletcher farm in Orwell, and moved in on May 24th, 1864.
